I've just seen him play defense since he came to the Twins and feel like I can peg him that way, but I shouldn't, nor do I want to, fall into that trap. If he's anything like a .300 wOBA hitter, he's probably a 1.5 WAR shortstop, which certainly could be worse. I hesitate to say something like "he's Adam Everett" because Adam Everett is so ridiculous; Punto has about a season and a third of ridiculous shortstop play, which is excellent but a bit low. Still, I think he's definitely very valuable and his defense is key to the Twins. Fetch,
